Lonesome Whippoorwill

The silence of a falling star
Lights up a purple sky
And as I wonder where you are
I'm so lonesome I could cry

-Hank Williams

For me, blogging is a multi-sensory experience. Add audio and visual to accompany the words and I'm transported to another time and place, like Montgomery, drinking shots over Hank's grave on a Sunday afternoon.

  1. Colleen, that is a great shot! I fondly remember our trip there, was it from that trip or do you go there when you're so lonesome you could cry? Aunt Ricia

  3. Aunt 'Ricia: I try to stay home when I'm so lonesome I could cry - strangers just give weird looks (that was from our daytrip - didn't you recognize the Opryland shot glasses? :)

KQ: sadly, you need a connection to buy alcohol in Alabama on Sundays...fortunately, we had Tiffany!
